What “Oida” means
Knowledge you can see.
Oida (οἶδα) is a Greek word for “to know.” It speaks of knowledge by perception: not just facts in your head, but truth you have seen and understood.
That is the heart of OIDA: students who know God’s Word deeply and live it out in the church and in the world.
Our story
OIDA began in early 2006 as Instituto Bíblico Oída, meeting at Sinai Church, from the vision of our founding pastor, Wilfredo Feliciano.
Over the years it grew into OIDA Christian University, incorporated in Texas, with online classes that reach students in other cities.
Now, alongside our Spanish program (online), OIDA offers an English program too, in person and online. Both meet Mondays and Thursdays from 7 to 10 PM.
